Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our VPS hosting, Windows hosting, bare metal servers, and IT services.

What VPS plans does Yantra Technologies offer?

We offer five Linux VPS tiers: Micro (1GB RAM, 2 cores, 30GB SSD), Mini (2GB RAM, 2 cores, 40GB SSD), Basic (4GB RAM, 2 cores, 50GB SSD), Standard (6GB RAM, 4 cores, 80GB SSD), and Premium (8GB RAM, 8 cores, 100GB SSD). Windows VPS plans are also available starting at 8GB RAM / 8 cores. All plans include full root access and customizable configurations.

What is the difference between Private IP and Dedicated Public IP plans?

Our Micro, Mini, and Basic VPS plans come with a Private IP. The Standard plan includes a Shared Public IP, while our Premium plan and all Windows VPS plans include a Dedicated Public IP. If your application needs a unique, exclusive public IP address (for SSL certificates, mail servers, or remote access), choose Standard or above, or contact us — public IP addresses are also available for purchase separately.

Can I upgrade my VPS plan later?

Yes. You can move up from Micro to Premium (or to Windows or Bare Metal) at any time as your business grows. Contact our team to schedule the upgrade — we coordinate the migration to minimize downtime.

Do you offer annual billing discounts?

Yes. All hosting plans can be billed annually at a discounted rate compared to monthly billing. We also offer an additional 10% discount on 2-year plans for both VPS and Windows Hosting.

Are your VPS prices VAT inclusive?

Yes, all listed prices are VAT inclusive — there are no hidden fees added at checkout.

What's the difference between VPS and Bare Metal Hosting?

VPS Hosting gives you a virtualized slice of server resources — cost-effective and ideal for most websites, applications, and small-to-medium business workloads. Bare Metal Hosting gives you an entire physical server (e.g. 32GB–128GB DDR4 RAM, multi-core Xeon-class CPUs, unlimited bandwidth) with no virtualization layer, ideal for high-performance or resource-intensive enterprise workloads.

Do you guarantee uptime?

Yes, all VPS, Windows, and Bare Metal hosting plans come with a 99.9% Uptime Guarantee.

Do I get full root/administrator access to my VPS?

Yes. Every VPS and Bare Metal plan includes full root access (or administrator access on Windows), giving you complete control to install software, configure firewalls, and manage your server exactly how you need.

What operating systems are available?

Our standard VPS plans run on Linux. We also offer dedicated Windows Hosting plans (Standard and Premium tiers) for applications that specifically require a Windows Server environment.

Do you offer rack space or colocation services?

Yes, rack space and colocation services are available in addition to our VPS, Windows, and Bare Metal hosting plans. Contact our team to discuss your colocation requirements.

Can I get a custom hosting package?

Yes. If none of our standard VPS, Windows, or Bare Metal tiers match your exact requirements, contact us and our team will put together a custom configuration tailored to your workload and budget.

What other IT services does Yantra Technologies provide?

Beyond hosting, we offer professional IT consulting (strategy development, technology assessment, digital transformation, and IT project management), enterprise network and security solutions, web and software development, and ongoing technical support.
